Mistletoe Jam
The 12th Annual Mistletoe Jam presented by Zandrability was held on Dec 13, 2024 at Bodega Noir in Landrum, SC. With some special guests in the house, we enjoyed music with friends and family and celebrated the continued advancements CureSMA has made over the last few years. This Zvent raised a sizable donation for the cause.
Performers included Jay Maybry, Doug Hooper, Alexandra’s Uncle Johnny G, and The Scoville Unit was the backing band for the evening. This was by far the best musical venue for the Jam to date.
Summer Soulstice Soiree
The 1st Annual Summer Soulstice Soiree brought the heat as we kicked off the Landrum Summer Concert Series at Music at the Market on June 19th, 2024. This was a Zvent for the ages. There was a variety of acts including comedienne Jas4Laughs, a juggler, and a magician. As always, the music is the main event, and the sideshow stepped back as Just a Jam, Shannon Nethery, Keith Troutman, Craig Jensen, and The Scoville Unit kicked out some scorching jams to coincide with the arrival of the summer heat. Of course, the biggest highlight of the night was Zandrability receiving our first ever $10,000 donation, allowing us to raise close to $15,000.
In August of ’24, following a successful Summer Soulstice Soiree, we were able to directly donate to Heeling House to help get Mayse Thompson a service dog. We connected with Mayse and her mother Tara through their Cure SMS Team Mayse and our Zandrability Facebook pages. There is a very strong presence of Cure SMA chapter pages all over social media with many incredible stories to tell. We’ll keep you posted on Mayse’s progress.
